This is an aircraft art print.

"City of Glasgow," one of just seven Argosy biplanes that were built is seen here in flight over one of Imperial Airways' near-eastern destinations.  This airliner pioneer -- sporting three engines for safety -- was interesting in that while the air crew flew the plane from an open cockpit, the passengers rode in enclosed comfort in the relatively spacious cabin.  The Argosy also was one of the first airliners on which passengers could enjoy a meal, served by a cabin steward.  It saw service from 1926 to 1935.  Koike has a penchant for early aircraft with boxy lines, and the Argosy is certainly a typical example of that genre.  The hazy skies and plentiful rigging take one back to a different aviation era in a moment.

This print is reproduced on heavy art board just like the original, and sized identical to the original, measuring 400mm x 315mm (15.75 x 12.4 inches). It's offset printed, and the color reproduction has been approved by Koike himself.  The art board measures 625mm x 453mm (24.6 x 17.83), giving you the freedom to have it framed as you would like. Each print is packed in a special sleeve inside a sturdy cardboard shipping box designed especially to prevent bending during shipping
