The Messerschmitt Bf-109 G6 Gustav was the most prolific variant of the Bf-109 family. Introduced in 1942, it was equipped with the powerful DB 605 engine, later fitted with superchargers which boosted the power up to 2000 HP. Weaponry was improved from the 7,92mm gun to 13mm guns and later the 30mm cannon MK-108. One projectile was enough to shoot down any single-engine fighter of the period. The Bf-109 G could be fitted with several conversion sets (R'sts'tzen) of rockets , bombs, cannons and other additional equipment for many different roles.
